MAJKA TKÁCIKOVÁ's artistic work became her tool for constructing a home, shaping new landscapes and sanctuaries where she confronts her truthful emotional states and identity. These hand-made bodies invite us to touch them, and they ground the viewer through their strength, honesty, and earthly sensation.
The sculptures are a space for processing and communicating emotions directly, without the filter of language. In these new territories, spaces beyond words, she found refuge to process the experiences of emigrating and cultural differences, lack of belonging, and a constant voice questioning a time to come back. The answer is nowhere else but here.
MAJKA builds dominance over her own new culture and beliefs shaped by everything that surrounds her. These landscapes invite us to explore them, they are spaces to rest, gain strength, and feel rooted. To stand still, the burning comes first.
El trabajo artístico de MAJKA TKÁČIKOVÁ se convirtió en su herramienta para construir un hogar, dando forma a nuevos paisajes y sus santuarios donde enfrenta sus verdaderos estados emocionales e identidad. Estos cuerpos hechos a mano nos invitan a tocarlos, y conectan con el espectador a través de su fuerza, honestidad y sensación terrenal.
Las esculturas son un espacio para procesar y comunicar emociones de forma directa, sin el filtro del lenguaje. En estos nuevos territorios, espacios más allá de las palabras, la artista encontró refugio para procesar las experiencias de emigración y diferencias culturales, la falta de pertenencia y una voz constante que cuestiona un tiempo de regreso. La respuesta no está en ningún otro lugar excepto aquí.
MAJKA construye dominio sobre su nueva cultura propia y creencias moldeadas por todo lo que la rodea. Estos paisajes nos invitan a explorarlos; son espacios para descansar, coger fuerzas y sentirnos arraigados.

PRODUCTION OF A LIMITED SERIES OF PRINTS
’YA NO’, Triptych - Digital Prints
My intention was to translate my sculptural practice into another format, a simpler and more accessible one. I delved into the details of my pieces, their shapes, and topologies. I observed their textures and documented the corners that caught my attention the most. Once transformed into the digital realm through playing with colors and contrasts, I turned them into works of abstract landscapes.
The selected series of 3 prints titled 'Ya no' (No more) speaks to all the stories, perceptions, and limitations we carry within ourselves, urging us to rid ourselves of those that no longer serve us. We have a great capacity for change and transformation and can transcend our own beliefs and limitations if we try.
Saying 'enough,' 'I no longer want this to define me,' or 'I can be better' is an invitation to overcome and grow. Change, as the only constant in life, presents the unlimited beauty of opportunities. 'Ya no' reminds us of all the things and beliefs that hold us back, and we must leave them behind to grow. So that we can feel better, stronger, and more solid.

PRODUCCIÓN DE UNA SERIE DE PRINTS LIMITADOS

Mi intención fue llevar mi práctica escultórica a otro formato, a uno más simple y accesible. Exploré los detalles de mis piezas, sus formas y topologías. Observé sus texturas y documenté los rincones que más llamaron mi atención. Una vez convertidas al plano digital a través del juego con las colores y contrastes, las transformé en obras de paisajes abstractos.
La serie seleccionada de 3 prints titulada 'Ya no' habla de todas las historias, percepciones y limitaciones que llevamos dentro de nosotres mismes y nos insta a deshacernos de aquellas que ya no nos sirven. Tenemos una gran capacidad de cambio y transformación y podemos trascender nuestras propias creencias y limitaciones si lo intentamos.
Decir 'basta’, ‘ya no quiero que esto me defina' o 'puedo ser mejor' es invitar a la superación y al crecimiento. El cambio, como única constante en la vida, nos presenta la belleza ilimitada de las oportunidades. 'Ya no' nos recuerda todas las cosas y creencias que nos frenan y debemos dejarlas atrás para poder crecer. Para que podamos sentirnos mejor, más fuertes y más sólidos.
