Rastapunka, habitant urbà i artista per projectes, alterna treball solitari i col·laboratiu, preferentment en l’espai públic i sovint de manera clandestina. Les seves accions s’han materialitzat en indrets tan diversos com el zoo d’Hèlsinki, els abocadors de Berlín o la riba del Hudson a Nova York.

A través de la fotografia, l’imprès a gran format i tècniques experimentals de gravat i serigrafia, capta instantànies d’una ciutat en decadència: monuments oblidats, decorats urbans abandonats i rastres del paisatge construït. El seu treball evoca la melancolia, la memòria i l’escapisme, emocions que ha cultivat des de la seva immersió en subcultures com el skate, el grafiti i formes de cultura visual més obscures.

Les seves publicacions autoeditades i les intervencions en gran escala esdevenen testimonis tangibles d’un entorn en constant transformació, on l’efímer i el permanent es troben. Rastapunka estableix un diàleg inquietant entre la imatge i l’arquitectura efímera, convidant l’espectador a qüestionar la percepció del temps i del record.

Rastapunka ha participat en les Redències B-Murals juntament amb Mikko Heino, amb qui formen el col·lectiu Hearsay.

Rastapunka, an urban dweller and project-based artist, alternates between solitary and collaborative work, primarily in public spaces and often clandestinely. His actions have taken place in diverse locations such as the Helsinki Zoo, Berlin landfills, and the banks of the Hudson River in New York City.

Through photography, large-format printing, and experimental engraving and screen-printing techniques, he captures snapshots of a city in decay—forgotten monuments, abandoned urban sets, and traces of the built environment. His work evokes melancholy, memory, and escapism, emotions he has cultivated since immersing himself in subcultures like skateboarding, graffiti, and more obscure visual cultures.

His self-published editions and large-scale interventions become tangible testimonies of an ever-changing environment, where the ephemeral and the permanent meet. Rastapunka establishes a haunting dialogue between image and ephemeral architecture, inviting viewers to question their perception of time and memory.

Rastapunka has participated in the B‑Murals Residencies alongside Mikko Heino, with whom he forms the collective Hearsay.
